Safe Shores gives your guests real-time beach safety alerts for every beach in Puerto Rico. Free to use. Takes 2 minutes to set up. No IT team required.
Safe Shores pulls official safety data from three U.S. government sources and turns it into a simple, visual alert system anyone can understand.
Every 5 minutes, Safe Shores checks the National Weather Service, NOAA tide stations, and ocean buoys for the latest conditions.
We match each alert to the specific beaches it affects and assign a clear risk level: green (safe), yellow (caution), or red (danger).
Your guests open a link or scan a QR code and instantly see what's happening at their beach — in English or Spanish, on any device.
A clean, fast, mobile-first experience. No app download required. No account needed.
Rip current warnings, high surf advisories, coastal flood alerts — translated to their language.
Wave height, wind speed, water temperature, and tide times — from real ocean buoys.
Known hazards, lifeguard status, risk level, and safety tips for each of the 90 beaches.
Color-coded risk for every beach. Green, yellow, orange, or red. Understandable at a glance.
Copy one line of code. Paste it into your website. Done. The widget updates automatically with live conditions.
Safe Shores covers 98 beaches across 35 municipalities. Pick the beach closest to your property. Here are some popular ones:

Safe Shores is a public safety project, not a business. The widget, the app, the data — all free. No hidden fees. No premium tier. No catch.
All data comes from official U.S. government sources: the National Weather Service (alerts), NOAA CO-OPS (tides), and NDBC (ocean buoys). Safe Shores does not generate its own forecasts.
No. If you can paste text into your website editor, you can add the widget. It works with WordPress, Wix, Squarespace, Shopify, and any other website builder. It's one line of code — like embedding a YouTube video.
Safe Shores shows a clear warning when data may be outdated. The widget still displays the beach's known hazards, lifeguard status, and risk profile even without live data.
No. Safe Shores has no accounts, no tracking, no cookies, and no analytics. Location data (used for 'Find Nearest Beach') stays entirely on the user's device and is never sent to our servers.
The widget currently uses a dark theme designed to look professional on any website. For custom branding or white-label options, contact us at alertacosterapr@gmail.com.
Safe Shores is hosted on Vercel's global infrastructure with automatic failover. Data refreshes every 5 minutes. The app is open source and the code is publicly available on GitHub.
It takes 2 minutes. Pick your beach, copy the code, paste it on your site. Or just share the link. Your guests will thank you.
